Job Introduction
The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). With headquarters in Vienna, the company employs more than 2200 people worldwide, with subsidiaries, regional offices and representatives in over 50 countries. In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team currently has 150+ colleagues and is growing.

The department NIS S&T (Network and IT Solutions & Tools) develops IT Solutions with a focus on high availability to be used in our worldwide customer projects. The spectrum we work on comprises infrastructure Solutions like our hyper-converged IT platform and application Solutions like our deployment, monitoring or security Solutions. Therefore, we screen and select IT products on the market and provide them as an essential part of Frequentis’ products and projects. To ensure further development and maintenance of our Solutions, we extend our young team and are looking for a Senior with experience in IT infrastructure.
Key Tasks
  • Technical owner and developer of our Monitoring Solutions with a focus on:
  • Implement features, manage the lifecycle, security and bugfixes, automate installation/configuration
  • Write documentation
  • Prepare technical training
  • Evaluate new technologies within the constraints of the solution
  • All tasks will be done keeping in mind that we are operating in a safety-critical domain
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum five years of experience as a DevOps/System Engineer with a focus on monitoring/observability
  • Experience with Zabbix, OpenSearch or similar monitoring and observability tools
  • Experience in container and cloud technologies (Azure, Kubernetes,…)
  • Know-How in Ansible, GIT, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, and Jama is an advantage
  • Scripting languages: Python, Bash, optional java-script
  • Independent working style and ability to work in a scrum team
  • Good communication skills in English or German (written and spoken)
