Job Introduction
The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). With headquarters in Vienna, the company employs more than 1800 people worldwide, with subsidiaries, regional offices and representatives in over 50 countries. In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team has currently 140+ colleagues and is growing.
As part of our team, you will actively develop products in an international environment, where experienced people will help you further develop your skills and advance in your career. The team SIS (Software and Infrastructure Solutions) develops IT Solutions with focus on high availability to be used in our worldwide customer projects. The spectrum we work on comprises infrastructure Solutions like our hyper converged IT platform and application Solutions like our deployment, monitoring or security Solutions. Therefore, we screen and select IT products on the market and provide them as an important part of Frequentis’ products and projects.
Key Tasks
- Develop IT infrastructure solutions, that are used in customer projects: Virtualization platform, Monitoring solutions, Deployment system.
- LifeCycle management: updating components, creating releases, updating documentation.
- Expansion and pushing ahead with automation using Ansible, with focus on the automatization of the deployment system.
- Interface function to the Frequentis product teams.
- 3rd level support of internal know-how holders: trainings & workshops for the employees.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure and automation
- Knowledge in system administration: RedHat/CentOS or Windows
- Experience with network and application monitoring tools (Zabbix)
- Experience with build tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven)
- Experience with the ELK Stack (Logstash, Elasticsearch and Kibana)
- Exposure to different log formats (Syslog, Eventlog)
- Experience with Docker and its ecosystem
- Experience in configuration management and deployment tools (Ansible is desirable)
- Experience in working with virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Scripting experience (Bash, Python)
- Knowledge of tools (for example: Jira, Confluence, Git)
- Good English language skills (both written and spoken)
- German language skills represent an advantage
