Job Introduction
The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). With headquarters in Vienna, the company employs more than 1800 people worldwide, with subsidiaries, regional offices and representatives in over 50 countries.
 In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team has currently 140+ colleagues and is growing. 

The SIS team (Software and Infrastructure Solutions) develops IT Solutions with focus on high availability to be used in our worldwide customer projects. The spectrum we work on comprises infrastructure Solutions like our hyper converged IT platform and application Solutions like our deployment, monitoring or security Solutions. Therefore, we screen and select IT products on the market and provide them as an important part of Frequentis’ products and projects. 

To ensure further development and maintenance of our Solutions we extend our young team and are looking for a Senior with experience in IT infrastructure.
Key Tasks
  • Technical owner and developer of our Log Monitoring Solution with focus on:
    • implement features, manage security and bugfixes, automate installation/configuration
    • write user documentation
    • prepare and hold technical trainings (video and live)
    • evaluate new technologies within the constraints of the solution
  • All tasks will be done keeping in mind that we are operating in a safety critical domain
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a DevOps/System Engineer 
  • Experience with the ELK Stack (Logstash, Elasticsearch and Kibana)
  • Deep knowledge of Linux environment (especially RHEL, SELinux)
  • Scripting experience: Python, Bash, optional JavaScript
  • Experience with configuration management tools is an advantage (Ansible)
  • Know-how in GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence and Jama is an advantage
  • Interest in cloud technologies (Azure, Docker) 
  • Independent working style and ability to work in a scrum team
  • Good English or German language skills (both written and spoken)
