Job Introduction
Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, 500 customers with

As Experienced IT Engineer (f/m/d) you coordinate the technical specification, the integration up to the acceptance of the technical solution in so-called Auotmation Solutions for air traffic control - you do this job in coordination with a motivated System Engineering Team!

Key Tasks
  • Technical coordination and handling of work packages in the project environment including installation, integration and acceptance of a system at the customer's site
  • Technical contact person for the customer in the context of projects (ongoing projects e.g. in Poland, UAE, New Zealand or USA)
  • Configuration and implementation of commercially available IT and network components in a safety-critical environment
  • Collaboration on the system architecture and support for the optimization of the system with regard to the cost-benefit ratio
  • Support in coordinating all internal and external suppliers, e.g. documentation, test department, software development, etc. 
  • Carrying out acceptance tests together with the customer and other key stakeholders
Key Qualifications
  • Completed technical education with focus on IT
  • Minimum 5 years relevant professional experience as system engineer or system administrator
  • Very good Linux knowledge and practical experience
  • Ideally protocol knowledge (UDP, TCP, Multicast)
  • Professional interaction with customers and fun in working with them
  • English skills are a must have, every other language is a plus
  • Eager to work in the air traffic management domain
