Job Introduction
Frequentis AG with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, 500 customers with 25,000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience.

The department NIS (Network & IT Solutions) is responsible for the IT platform in the worldwide customer projects. Comprehensive IT consulting and conception, but also the installation, configuration and documentation of Server/Client HW, network, storage, virtualization, operating systems, third-party applications and IT security are part of the daily routine of this specialized team. For the further development and maintenance of our monitoring solutions (log and status monitoring) - as an important part of our products and solutions for the customer - we are looking for a monitoring specialist with architectural responsibility.
Key Tasks
  • continuous further development of the monitoring solutions (status and log) by implementing redundancy mechanisms, interface connection to superordinate systems and ticket tools, automatic generation of reports for SLA and license monitoring, implementation and design of functional extensions such as a user-friendly dashboard, integration of plug-in extensions, etc. 
  • LifeCycle maintenance (updating components, creating releases, documentation) 
  • Expansion and advancement of automation 
  • Interface function to the Frequentis product teams and 3rd level support 
  • Company internal know-how carrier in the area of monitoring (trainings & workshops for the employees)
Key Qualifications
  • completed IT technical education (FH or university) 
  • at least 3 years of relevant professional experience (also conceivable in an academic environment) 
  • Experience with IT infrastructure status monitoring (e.g. Zabbix) and log monitoring (e.g. ELK) 
  • Experience with IT infrastructure deployment (PXE, Kickstart, Ansible, ...) 
  • Knowledge of Linux system administration (RedHat, CentOS, container technologies) 
  • Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, ...) 
  • Knowledge of tools (for example Jira, Confluence, Git, ...) 
  • Good knowledge of German and English
