- Define and propose architectures for solutions in compliance with standardisation and reuse policies, product roadmaps
- Create software architecture, specification, design and safety concept
- Create design guidelines to ensure the fulfilment of high code quality standards
- Give orientation and serve software development teams as a coach for architecture topics
- Modelling of operational scenarios, software architecture and functions for air traffic control such as flight plan management, safety nets, alarm handling, recording and playback functions)
- Participate to customer workshops and meetings with internal and external suppliers
- Evaluate and decide with customer on technical solutions for specific problems
- Supports Sales and Product Management during tenders to prepare the offer including, perform estimations for the software engineering effort
- Contribute to the solution development cycle and co-engineering approach
- Successfully communicate all concepts and guidelines to the development team.
- Provide technical assistance and mentoring to developers and engineers to ensure consistency with initial design
- Proven professional experience as a software architect
- Proven professional experience in software development (in C++ would be optimal)
- Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture of complex, distributed applications
- Excellent knowledge of UML and other modelling models
- Understanding of the fundamentals of software quality assurance
- Technical thinking with an eye for detail
- High quality organisational and technical leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Degree in computer science, engineering or relevant discipline
