Job Introduction

Key Tasks
  • You are responsible for the implementation of the Frequentis System Security Standard in Frequentis Comsoft and continuously monitor compliance with it.
  • Carrying out threat analyses and security risk assessments for both our products and our customer projects
  • Development of security services and tools for vulnerability detection, reporting and general security automation.
  • Your responsibilities also include the development of security concepts (security blueprints) for our products and projects
  • Supporting our development and project teams in the evaluation, planning and implementation of our own and established security standards (e.g. OWASP, OpenSCAP, CIS) throughout the entire product and project lifecycle.
  • Conducting internal trainings with a focus on system security
Key Qualifications
  • You have an interest in infrastructure and application security.
  • You have proven hands-on experience in software development, systems engineering or security engineering.
  • You have a basic understanding of vulnerability models and the secure design of systems and software.
  • You have development experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C/C++ using versioning tools.
  • You feel at home in the Linux environment and know your way around the command line.
  • You are able to analyse problems in a structured way and develop sustainable solutions.

The perfect person for this position also brings:

  • a degree in computer science, mathematics, or a comparable qualification
  • at least 3 years of experience in software development, ideally using secure programming and secure designs or in systems engineering
  • Experience in different security domains (e.g. application security, vulnerability management, security monitoring, pentesting)
  • Experience with containerisation and cluster management tools such as Docker, Kubernetes or podman
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins)
  • Technical background knowledge in the areas of application, operating system and network security
  • Knowledge in system administration
  • Certifications or an advanced profile in programmes such as HackTheBox are an advantage.
