System Security Engineer (all genders)

- You are responsible for the implementation of the Frequentis System Security Standard in Frequentis Comsoft and continuously monitor compliance with it.
- Carrying out threat analyses and security risk assessments for both our products and our customer projects
- Development of security services and tools for vulnerability detection, reporting and general security automation.
- Your responsibilities also include the development of security concepts (security blueprints) for our products and projects
- Supporting our development and project teams in the evaluation, planning and implementation of our own and established security standards (e.g. OWASP, OpenSCAP, CIS) throughout the entire product and project lifecycle.
- Conducting internal trainings with a focus on system security
- You have an interest in infrastructure and application security.
- You have proven hands-on experience in software development, systems engineering or security engineering.
- You have a basic understanding of vulnerability models and the secure design of systems and software.
- You have development experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C/C++ using versioning tools.
- You feel at home in the Linux environment and know your way around the command line.
- You are able to analyse problems in a structured way and develop sustainable solutions.
- a degree in computer science, mathematics, or a comparable qualification
- at least 3 years of experience in software development, ideally using secure programming and secure designs or in systems engineering
- Experience in different security domains (e.g. application security, vulnerability management, security monitoring, pentesting)
- Experience with containerisation and cluster management tools such as Docker, Kubernetes or podman
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins)
- Technical background knowledge in the areas of application, operating system and network security
- Knowledge in system administration
- Certifications or an advanced profile in programmes such as HackTheBox are an advantage.
