Job Introduction
FREQUENTIS Solutions & Services (FSS) as a member of the Austrian Group FREQUENTIS AG, is focused on software development, system engineering and delivery of safety-critical voice communication and information systems. Our solutions are developed and distributed in the following business segments: Air Traffic Management & Defence (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management), Public Safety (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services) and Public Transport & Maritime (railway and urban transport solutions, vessel traffic management).

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager who will be responsible for leading complex customer projects in an international environment. In this role, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project scope, timelines, budgets and risks, and ensure successful project delivery according to customer requirements. You will act as the main point of contact for customers while driving collaboration across internal teams, subcontractors and external partners.
Key Tasks
  • Managing end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects in terms of scope, budget, timelines and quality
  • Planning and coordinating project resources, work packages, milestones and project activities
  • Acting as the main contact person for customers and managing customer communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinating internal teams, subcontractors and external partners involved in project delivery
  • Monitoring project progress, project KPIs, risks and deadlines, including preparation of mitigation and contingency plans
  • Managing project reporting, documentation and configuration management activities
  • Supporting change request management and identifying additional business opportunities within ongoing projects
  • Leading risk management activities and ensuring compliance with project management standards, processes and quality guidelines
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities, including lessons learned and project feedback sessions
  • Participating in selection and coordination of project staff and external service providers
  • Cooperating with Sales on change request strategies and customer opportunities
Key Qualifications
Technical Skills & Competencies
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management or delivery management
  • Experience with managing complex technical projects in an international environment
  • Strong technical understanding combined with business and commercial awareness
  • Experience with project planning, budgeting, reporting and risk management
  • Experience with project management methodologies and PM tools
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, subcontractors and external partners
  • Understanding of change request and configuration management processes
  • Technical university degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • English – proficient written and spoken communication
  • Spanish and/or German language skills are considered an advantage

Driving licence - B
