Job Introduction
FREQUENTIS Solutions & Services (FSS) as a member of the Austrian Group FREQUENTIS AG, is focused on software development, system engineering and delivery of safety-critical voice communication and information systems. Our solutions are developed and distributed in the following business segments: Air Traffic Management & Defence (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management), Public Safety (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services) and Public Transport & Maritime (railway and urban transport solutions, vessel traffic management).​

Your Role
We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join our Public Safety team and contribute to the development of innovative communication solutions used by police, emergency medical services and other mission-critical organizations worldwide.

Key Tasks
  • As part of the team of enthusiastic developers, you will contribute to the development of SW solutions for safety-critical applications in an exciting area of the Public Safety (radio communication for police rescue services).
  • As part of the team you will participate on development of connection to MCX radio system
  • You will use the tools for code analysis and automated testing procedures (Test Driven Development).
  • You will document SW solutions in accordance with the international quality standards.
  • You will contribute to the safer SW solutions using Domain-driven design (DDD), agile development, automated testing, and continuous integrations.

  • Project Support: Git, Jira, Confluence, Jama, Jenkins, Maven, Intellij IDEA
  • Testing: JUNIT tests, FitNesse, CATS
  • Code Quality: checkstyle, PMD, Findbugs, CPD
  • Websocket, Webserver / Webclient, SPRING, SIP, XML, JSON, SOAP, Ansible
  • JavaScript, React, CSS
Key Qualifications
  • Experience with the operations systems Windows, UNIX/Linux.
  • Experience with JAVA – advanced
  • DevOps experience - containerization (Podman/Docker) + Kubernetes (Openshift)
  • Experience with SIP, RTP, RTCP
