Network Engineer - Customer Service
- Provide Level 3 support for customer networks and communication infrastructures;
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents in close cooperation with internal teams and external partners;
- Perform detailed root-cause analysis and implement corrective measures;
- Monitor performance of customer systems and proactively identify potential issues.
- Participate in network design, configuration, and optimization for existing and new deployments;
- Prepare and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, guidelines, and configuration baselines;
- Support remote and on-site installation, upgrades, and migrations.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for customers during critical interventions;
- Provide clear communication and professional guidance throughout service activities;
- Participate in regular service reviews and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Follow internal change management and security processes;
- Ensure adherence to operational, security, and quality standards relevant to safety‑critical communication environments.
- Professional experience in network engineering or system operations;
- Strong understanding of:
- Routing & Switching (Cisco, Juniper, or similar);
- Network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP, VLANs, STP);
- Firewalls, VPN, and network security principles;
- Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, PRTG, Nagios, etc.).
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems;
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA/JNCIS;
- Knowledge of VoIP, SIP, RTP, or other real-time communication protocols;
- Experience in safety-critical domains (aviation, public safety, transportation, defense);
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell);
- Knowledge of German or Spanish language.
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving mindset, and attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a structured way under time pressure;
- Strong communication skills in English;
- Willingness to travel to our headquarters in Vienna twice a week;
