Job Introduction
Bratislava-based FREQUENTIS Solutions & Services s. r. o. belongs to the Austrian FREQUENTIS Group (www.frequentis.com), specialized in mission-critical communication and IT solutions, e.g. in air traffic control, defense, public safety, public transport or maritime. When it comes to UTM, Frequentis is a significant member of a group that coordinates R&D activities around the Single European Sky initiative. As part of that initiative, we are participating in multiple R&D projects focused on challenges drones pose to air traffic management. These challenges include for example private drones interfering with commercial air traffic, smaller commercial drones used for parcel delivery and an anticipated shift from manned aircrafts to unmanned aircrafts in commercial aviation. Also, in some of our other business domains we see the need to adapt to and integrate drones, for example to increase the situational awareness of public safety control room operators (police, ambulance and fire agencies).
Key Tasks
  • Setup, integration, and acceptance of a system remotely and at the customer's site
  • Technical contact person for the customer within projects
  • Configuration and commissioning of commercially available IT and network components in a security-critical environment
  • Documentation
  • Cooperation with the Test and Development departments
  • Participate in acceptance tests together with the customer and other key stakeholders 
Key Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience as a system engineer or system administrator
  • Very good Linux knowledge and practical experience
  • Knowledge of Ansible
  • Scripting
  • Extensive experience with networks (Layer2 + Layer3)
  • Experience with SBC & PABX
  • Ideally protocol knowledge (UDP, TCP, Multicast)
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker
  • Professional interaction with customers (mainly technical personnel)

  • You can follow corporate processes.
  • You are willing to travel to our headquarters in Vienna with the possibility to use shared company cars for business trips:
    • during the training period more frequently (2-3x/week)
    • after training period: (once a month)
