System Engineer - VoIP Applications
- Plan, design, and implement technical solutions for customer delivery projects, ensuring compliance with system requirements and quality standards including activities performed at customer´s sites
- Integrate systems and components into complex environments
- Perform system audits, participate in site acceptances, and ensure system readiness
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including configuration records, design specifications, and operational manuals
- Assist customers with technical questions related to system operation, configuration, and service
- Collaborate with Product Management on designing and extending/improving products
- Support the transition of delivery projects into the service phase, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and operational readiness
- Service and maintenance duties: Handle service tickets (incidents, problems, configuration changes) within agreed response times and participate in on-call duties. Document and analyze reported incidents and problems, coordinate and carry out root cause analyses and remedies
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers (preferably RHEL), including upgrades and troubleshooting
- Bash scripting proficiency
- Solid experience with virtualization platforms (VMware and KVM preferred)
- Understanding of VoIP technologies (SIP) and experience with SBC & PABX systems
- Familiarity with various storage technologies and basic networking concepts and configurations (CISCO preferred)
- Understanding of clustering principles
- Ability to create clear technical documentation, including step-by-step guides, specifications, and requirements
- Ability to quickly adapt to frequent software releases and evolving environments
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in distributed system environments
- Precise and structured documentation practices
- Experience with Windows Server installation and maintenance
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Experience with database system (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle DBMS)
- Experience with monitoring systems (Zabbix)
- Experience with monitoring and backup solutions
- Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible)
- Experience with service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivery excellence
- Professional communication skills, even in critical situations
- Willingness to undergo security clearance (NBÚ)
- Willingness to participate in an on-call duty rotation
- Strong professional communication and client‑relationship skills, including in critical situations and under time pressure
- Flexible, self‑driven, goal‑oriented, and structured in your approach to work
- Ability to follow corporate processes and standards
- Comfortable working both on-site with customers and in the office (Vienna and Bratislava), balancing technical work with communication and coordination
- Willingness to travel regularly to Vienna or to customer sites for installations, upgrades, and acceptance activities (typically planned, not ad-hoc)
- Secondary with school-leaving examination
- University education (Bachelor's degree)
