• Takes ownership of Engineering related deliverables and their technical compliance required by the program.

• Hands-on integration of software and hardware components including software installation and configuration, network configuration, and telecommunications hardware integration.

• Designs, develops, implements, and validates IT system solutions for networking, computing, and our propriety communications equipment including conceptional, functional, and physical views.

• Creates, reviews, and approves technical documentation (e.g., design drawings, design reviews, system layouts, system configuration, build plans/instructions).

• Collaborates with internal teams (e.g., program management, hardware & software development, solution architects, test engineering, field engineering, production) for total project success.

• Analyzes program specifications and clarifies technical issues. Based on analysis, generates system solution documentation.

• Ensures adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

• May participate in on-site installations, integration, and customer testing activities.

• May participate in remote system monitoring, maintenance, and tier 2 on call support.

• Guides, supports, and empowers junior engineers to grow and excel in their roles.

• BS in Information Technology, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, or equivalent experience with IT systems and engineering.

• 10-14 years’ experience in Systems Engineering integrating, deploying, and supporting integrated hardware and software solutions in the area of networking and communications.

• Demonstrates the ability to implement and apply best-practice system engineering concepts.

• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.

• Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Able to learn, select, and integrate new technologies into system solutions.
