Head of “Unmanned Traffic Management” (f/m/d)

- Business responsibility for the development and expansion of a new and rapidly growing business unit (10-15 employees) with the goal of successfully placing new and innovative offerings in the area of Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) for drones worldwide.
- Achievement of defined business targets for the business unit, e.g. order intake, revenue growth, market share, sales funnel, number of references, profitable execution of customer projects
- Implementation of a KPI and reporting model in order to be able to track and control the successful market launch and the business success of the business unit's offerings in a very timely manner.
- Definition and ongoing development of the required offering portfolio, the customer segments to be addressed and the required business and delivery models
- Work closely with all internal interfaces - e.g. regional sales, governance or business units that position related offerings to customers.
- Lead and develop the team to ensure high motivation and performance
- Academic education and at least 7 years of experience in business, product management and/or sales.
- Professional experience in dealing with public authorities or related organisations in the field of aviation and/or drones or other relevant experience with organisations in a safety-critical environment (blue light, infrastructure, energy, ...)
- Networking in the aviation market and/or corresponding committees very advantageous
- Proven experience in the conception and implementation of growth strategies for new and innovative business areas.
- Being a cloud technology based business with a high proportion of "Software as a Service", experience in these business and technology areas is highly advantageous
- Expertise in developing and implementing novel go-to-market and business models
- High degree of assertiveness and willingness to make courageous decisions based on incomplete information
- Strong communication skills with different stakeholders, critical thinking and strong problem solving skills
