Job Introduction

Our Engineering & Consulting division implements the IT engineering and design strategy for the offering and delivery of IT systems in our projects. This is achieved through global collaboration with regional subsidiaries and partners. 

As a Head of System Engineering at Frequentis, you will apply your expertise in leading a group of System Engineers working in ATM Voice Solution Projects collaborating with Solution Architects and Technical Solution Managers, you will ensure the success of our Projects worldwide.
Key Tasks
  1. Leadership & Team Development: 
    • Lead and manage a team of Engineers (local and offshore) 
    • Align daily engineering tasks with Project Management peers in the Delivery Operations Organization
    • Mentor and guide System Engineers by setting targets, assigning tasks, and ensuring project alignment
    • Define yearly training targets, oversee booking processes, and ensure budget approvals from the Head of Department or HR
    • Empower Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to take on leadership roles and facilitate their collaboration with the Solution Architect team 
  2. Resource & Project Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Resource Management peers to ensure efficient utilization of engineering resources
    • Provide monthly reports on resource allocation and utilization metrics
    • Ensure engineers are optimally allocated to projects with proper workload distribution
    • Collaborate in quarterly forums with Project Management to align and enhance internal processes 
  3. Technical Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
    • Ensure alignment between Solution Architects, Development, and Delivery teams in both Software Delivery Lifecycle and Legacy System projects
    • Involve the right technical personnel from the early stages of a project, starting in the offer phase
    • Facilitate connections between Solution Architects and engineers during the offer phase
    • Support pre-sales engineering efforts and contribute to reviewing calculations in offers
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field 
  • 5 years proven experience in leading engineering teams, preferably in a multinational environment
  • Strong project management and resource allocation skills
  • Excellent mentorship and coaching abilities combined with technical expertise
  • Proficiency in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration with strong solution-oriented skills
  • You are decisively, with a strong communication and interpersonal focus

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 56,605 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
