Job Introduction
Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, 500 customers with 30.000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience.

As IT expert for virtualisation - VMware (f/m/d) you are - as the name implies - the VM Ware expert at Frequentis. You provide the basis for all internal services and thus contribute to our success.
Key Tasks
  • As a virtualization expert, you will manage the complete VMware landscape including storage and hardware, focused on the environment used by projects 
  • You will take care of the update and patch management of the relevant systems, taking into account the specifications of IT Information Security 
  • One of our main tasks is to resolve malfunctions, optimize solutions given to you and develop new concepts for further development 
  • As a consultant to all IT users for our internal cloud solution you are an important contact person and help to optimize performance and costs 
  • You represent colleagues within the core team and help with budget planning
Key Qualifications
  • Completed technical education in the area is advantageous and should have several years of professional experience in the virtualization environment, preferably based on VMware 
  • Your basic knowledge of Windows, Linux and network technology is well-founded 
  • First experiences with public cloud hosting are a plus
  • A basic business understanding would be good 
  • You like communicating and show a high level of consulting competence
