Test Automation Engineer (all genders)

Job Introduction
When our software works, nobody notices.
When it doesn’t, every second matters. 

From air traffic control to critical infrastructures, our systems must perform flawlessly when it counts most. PDTS is part of the Frequentis Group – an independent team of around 100 experts in Vienna, combining international projects with clear decisions and a stable environment.
Key Tasks
  • Independent design and development of manual and automated tests based on product requirements
  • Implementation of automated tests and test specifications in Java
  • Creation of test plans and execution of exploratory tests for key software features
  • Continuous testing alongside development of Java (Spring) and JavaScript (Vanilla, React) software components
  • Integration of test suites into the delivery pipeline and further development of the test tool landscape
Key Qualifications
  • Completed technical education (HTL, University of Applied Sciences, or University)
  • Initial professional experience in testing and verification of complex projects or product developments
  • Programming skills in Java and JavaScript
  • Basic knowledge of container technologies (e.g. Docker)
  • Experience with software development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, Jira is an advantage
  • Knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber, Jasmine) is desirable
  • Familiarity with operating systems, preferably Linux, is an advantage
  • ISTQB certification is a plus
