Job Introduction

This position is all about testing a complex project in a manual and automated end to end manner. The test engineer, in this position, will have a major contribution to the development of safety critical software used in Air Traffic Management.

Key Tasks
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases for complex, integrated systems, covering functional and non-functional aspects.
- Analyze customer and system requirements in order to design effective end to end test scenarios.
- Actively contribute to test scope definition and test selection, based on change impact analysis and understanding of system dependencies.
- Perform system integration and acceptance testing.
- Perform exploratory testing using technical and system knowledge to identify edge cases, failure scenarios, and integration issues.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear technical descriptions, reproduction steps and analysis results.
- Retest resolved defects and perform regression testing.
- Reproduce and analyze production issues in test environments and document findings and lessons learned.
- Support the creation and maintenance of formal test documentation artifacts (test plans, test reports, test specifications) for formal test phases.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on manual testing experience on complex, integrated software systems.
- Good understanding of system architecture, component interactions, and end to end workflows in distributed environments.
- Ability to understand basic algorithms and programming concepts (conditions, loops, data structures, error handling).
- Willingness to grow towards test automation and technical test solutions.
- Good English knowledge, both written and spoken.
- Comprehensive requirements analysis and traceability know how.
- Experience with system and acceptance testing, exploratory testing, and defect lifecycle management.
- Attention to detail and structured, analytical way of working.
- Knowledge of Gherkin language would be an advantage.
- Good Linux skills would be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of time on average.
- ISTQB certification is an advantage.
- Experience in testing with devices and using simulation tools is an advantage.
