Job Introduction

The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team currently has 200+ colleagues and is growing. 

Key Tasks
  • Create, maintain and execute manual test cases based on requirements
  • Contribute to the selection of the tests to be executed according to a list of given changes in the product
  • Perform exploratory testing
  • Document defects in the tracking tool
  • Retest defects after they are marked as resolved
  • Create test report documents for formal test phases
  • Retest in the local environment the defects that occurred in production. Analyse and document findings
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, including identifying gaps in test coverage
  • Use research and critical thinking to find effective ways to test non-standard or complex scenarios
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on manual testing experience on integrated software systems
  • Good English knowledge, both written and verbally
  • Attention to details
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (firewalls, VPNs) if systems are distributed or remotely accessed
  • Experience using Wireshark for network traffic analysis, including applying filters to inspect SIP/RTP or other protocol-level data
  • Familiarity with Linux command line tools for troubleshooting, log analysis, and environment interaction
  • Experience or interest in security-focused testing
  • IP based communications knowhow (SIP/RTP) is an advantage
  • ISTQB certification is an advantage
  • Experience in testing with devices and using simulation tools is an advantage
