Job Introduction
The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). As part of our team, you will actively develop products in an international environment, where experienced people will help you further develop your skills and advance in your career.

You will be guiding the scrum processes for 2 scrum teams who develop safety-critical products for air traffic control.


The products are part of a larger Tower products suite:
    • smartTOOLS – our integrated information and control system provides a complete portfolio of applications related to tower and runway control, and weather information.
    • smartSTRIPS – our flight data management product, is designed for towers and approach units of all sizes and degrees of operational complexity.
    • smartVISION – our video-based enhanced visualisation solution optimised for ATC and airport environments, providing ATC-grade video presentation and augmentation.

Your expertise in handling the scrum processes in a diverse and international environment will be a key contributing factor since with team members are dispersed in 2 locations: Cluj and Vienna.
Key Tasks
  • Responsible for implementing agile processes and ensuring they are enacted, monitoring compliance
  • Responsible for ensuring every meeting has an outcome (but not held accountable for outcomes)
  • Responsible for optimizing and reporting the productivity of organizational units
  • Coaching teams and the organization in agility
  • Critically observing teams, providing feedback about cooperation, group dynamics and results
  • Ensuring that artefacts and reports (product backlog, spring backlog, burndown charts) are kept up to date
  • Protecting teams from disruptions to the agreed processes
  • Support the team in making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
  • Support Product Owner and team with the release planning, release document preparation and review
Key Qualifications
  • Knowledge and proven experience with scaled scrum environments such as SAFe, LeSS, and/or SPS (Nexus)
  • Proven experience in managing complex products using Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Development or testing experience in an Agile environment would be a plus
  • Scrum Master Certification would be a plus
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly self-organized
