Job Introduction
The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). With headquarters in Vienna, the company employs more than 1800 people worldwide, with subsidiaries, regional offices and representatives in over 50 countries. In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team has currently 140+ colleagues and is growing.
As part of our team, you will actively develop products in an international environment, where experienced people will help you further develop your skills and advance in your career. In your daily work you plan tasks with your team for the next sprint. The team covers all tasks to turn a feature idea into a product feature fit for operational service. This includes architectural decisions, manuals, software updates, requirement engineering, test automation and collaboration with supporting teams (e.g. quality and safety management). You strive for improving the team performance, the product, the processes and yourself.
Key Tasks
- Participate in the development and maintenance of our software applications for Air traffic control
- Take responsibility of all phases of software life cycle - requirements engineering, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
- Cooperate with our international project and development teams
- Contribute to the further buildout of our development infrastructure
- Cooperate with the strategic and technical product management
Key Qualifications
- Completed degree in computer science or a related area of expertise
- Experience in the team-oriented development of complex software systems on Linux platforms
- Being open to work Agile/Scrum incl. Peer-Reviews and Pairing
- Good knowledge in Software Architecture
- Good knowledge of C ++, Design Patterns, Multithreading
- Knowledge of Python
- Experience with development tools (e.g. JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Coverity, JAMA)
- Experience with networks and middleware as well as their APIs, is an advantage
- Very good English knowledge in writing and speaking
- Knowledge in cmake, robot framework
- Knowledge in refactoring of larger code bases
- Knowledge in requirements engineering
- German knowledge
- Knowledge of Air traffic Management or Control
