Job Introduction

These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). If you want to work on the largest Aeronautical Information Management system in the world, implemented by Frequentis for Eurocontrol, we look forward to meeting you!  The Aeronautical Information Management system we build at Frequentis is being utilized by users from Eurocontrol or Romatsa. 
Key Tasks
  • Analyse requirements, design and develop software components in Java 
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels inside the company 
  • Implement functionality based on specific customer requirements 
  • Understand Aeronautical Information Management related processes and workflows 
  • Promote, apply and track development best practices like TDD, high code coverage, SOLID principles, design patterns, static code analysis and continuous integration

  • Acts as a technical leader in the team
  • Provides technical guidance, proposes solutions and offer advice
  • Provides input for the software architecture
  • Acts as a coach or mentor for other developers
  • Performs regular 1-on-1 meetings with team members
  • Advises the Department Manager
  • Establishes a positive and professional work environment within the team
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of software development experience in Java
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
  • Experience with Front-End UI layer (HTML5, CSS3)
  • SQL experience
  • JavaScript experience
  • SOAP or REST webservices experience
  • Good English knowledge, both written and verbally
  • Business Process Modelling (BPM) experience is an advantage
  • Previous experience as a technical lead is an advantage
