Java SW Engineer

Job Introduction
FREQUENTIS Solutions & Services s.r.o., as a member of FREQUENTIS group, is focused on software development, engineering and delivery of safety critical communication and information systems. Our Bratislava-based company FREQUENTIS Solutions & Services s.r.o belongs to the Austrian group FREQUENTIS AG, specialized in safety-critical voice communications, for example for air traffic control towers, public safety control rooms (112) or air defense forces. Our mission critical solutions cover diverse areas, such as telephony and radio communication, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), incident and resource management, video surveillance and automatic video analytics. 400 customers worldwide with 25.000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience.
Key Tasks
  • As part of the team of enthusiastic developers, you will contribute to the development of SW solutions for safety-critical applications in an exciting area of Air Traffic Management. 
  • You will analyze requirements, design and develop SW solutions for telecommunication systems.
  • You will use the tools for code analysis and automated testing procedures (Test Driven Development).
  • You will document SW solutions in accordance with the international quality standards.
  • You will contribute to the safer SW solutions using agile development, automated testing, and continuous integrations.

Used Software & Technologies 
• Java 8 or newer (IntelliJ IDEA) 
• Linux basics 
• any Version Control System (Git, SVN… ) 

Following technologies are of advantage: 
• General networking concepts (routing, switching) 
• Python3 
• C 
• Configuration of CISCO network devices (IOS-XE, IOS-XR) 
• Docker, Git, Maven, Jenkins 
• JIRA, JAMA requirements and test management 

It is not a problem, if you don’t know them right now, but you should be willing to learn them on the go.
Key Qualifications
  • Completed technical education in the field of computer science.
  • Experience with Java
  • English & Slovak language - proficient in spoken and written communication.
