Job Introduction
Frequentis AG with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, 400 customers with 25.000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience.

When it comes to life or death, every second counts. In such situations, it is particularly important that rescue services have the optimal means to react appropriately and quickly. Our communication and information solutions in our Public Safety business area (rescue, fire brigade, police) focus precisely on this topic.  You can find more information here.

Our customer relationships go beyond the implementation of communication and information solutions. In a niche market like Public Safety, the service phase is essential for high customer satisfaction. The Service Engineer (f/m/d) is our customers' first point of contact for troubleshooting, upgrades, and much more. 
Key Tasks
  • Coordination and execution of troubleshooting and error analysis in accordance with contractual response times 
  • Planning, testing and implementation of software upgrades in live operation 
  • Scheduling and technical handling of changes and upgrades to existing systems 
  • Cooperation in ongoing product improvement based on concrete experiences with customers 
  • Contact for customers in technical matters 
  • Coordination of development deliveries of product development 
Key Qualifications
  • Technical training with IT (Networks) focus preferred
  • approx. 8 years professional experience (3rd level support, service engineering, system engineering)
  • Very good overview of IT landscapes (e.g. databases, Windows servers, virtualization, networks, VoIP, distributed systems)
  • Analytical skills and high problem-solving competence
  • Willingness to travel (15%/year)
  • Passion for technical advice and the close cooperation with the customer is an advantage
