Job Introduction
The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team currently has 150+ colleagues and is growing.

Our product LifeX is a leading communication and collaboration platform that serves large public safety control rooms, aiming for a continuously growing set of functionalities to support the needs requested by our police, ambulance and fire brigade customers.

This position is responsible for the continuous maintenance of the environments utilized internally by the scrum teams for development and testing. E.g. deploy new application releases, install necessary upgrades, maintain and patch the local infrastructure, prepare or improve various scripts utilized during these activities, etc.

Key Tasks
  • Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for the Product to be in line with company guidelines
  • Deploys, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools on selected environments
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Document, analyse and identify the root causes of all technical issues when they arise.
  • Maintain technical and functional knowledge about the product releases
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Windows Server administration (AD, IIS, DNS)
  • Experience with deployment and configuration tools (Ansible)
  • Knowledge of Unix and Virtualization technologies (VMWare)
  • Networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) and analysis tools (Wireshark)
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (Zabbix)
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Batch, Python) are nice to have
  • Basic knowledge of Databases (MongoDB, SQL Server, Postgres)
  • Excellent English knowledge, both written and verbally
  • Decision-making and results-oriented person – get things done attitude
  • Analytical skills and troubleshooting expertise
