Test Automation Engineer | Air Traffic Management [smartSTRIPS]

Job Introduction
The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team has currently 140+ colleagues and is growing.
As part of our team, you will actively develop products in an international environment, where experienced people will help you further develop your skills and advance in your career.

You will be testing a product that air traffic controllers use to keep track of live air traffic, do tactical planning of upcoming flights, communicate with the aircraft over specialized protocols and keep in sync with other controllers.

Key Tasks
  • Write test automation scenarios for new features based on product requirements
  • Investigate and log problem reports
  • Test customer specific "use case" scenarios
  • Create and maintain test environments and test data
  • Keep a high level of quality assurance during the entire software development and testing process (all requirements are tested and all test results are documented)
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of hands on automated testing experience              
  • Good knowledge of various testing types, test case creation
  • Familiar with BDD
  • Basic knowledge in Docker, Jenkins, Git, operating systems (Linux, Windows) and networks
  • Basic knowledge in at least one issue tracker (ex: Jira)
  • Able to understand Java/Groovy would be a plus
  • Curiosity and perseverance are highly appreciated
  • Good communication skills across a multi nationality team
  • Good English skills (both written and spoken)
  • Constant consideration for self-improvement
  • Desire to learn about Air Traffic Management domain
