You will be testing a leading communication and collaboration platform that serves large public safety control rooms, aiming for a continuously growing set of functionalities to support the needs requested by our police, ambulance and fire brigade customers.
Together with the software developers, the test automation engineers form a Scrum team that has complete ownership over the development and testing of a story in the same sprint. Hence, test automation is treated as a “first class citizen”, on the same level with the software implementation activities.
Key Tasks
- Contribute to the development of test cases based on project requirements, system architecture and reported defects
- Design, implement and execute automated tests, with the primary focus on automation
- Collect and interpret test reports
- Learn, follow and aim to improve the software development processes agreed with the rest of the team
- Understand and apply OOP programming principles throughout the development activities for automated tests
Key Qualifications
- Results oriented person – get things done attitude
- Minimum 3 years of hands on automated testing experience on integrated software systems
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience with Java, JBehave, Groovy
- Experience with build and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Maven
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git
- Experience with network analysis tools (Wireshark) is a plus
- Excellent English knowledge, both written and verbally
- ISTQB certification is an advantage
- IP based communications knowhow (SIP/RTP) is an advantage
- Nice to have: experience with Selenium or similar tools
