FENS Systems Engineer

Job Introduction
Frequentis USA designs, develops, manufactures, markets, and distributes Frequentis technologies for FAA, NASA,and state and local governments. Frequentis USA is headquartered in Columbia, Maryland operating a local manufacturing plant serving its U.S. customers.
Key Tasks
  • Integrate software and hardware components per contract requirements including software installation and configuration, network configuration, and telecommunications hardware integration
  • Develop and conduct factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, failure location and analysis.
  • Analyze site and contract information to determine, recommend, and plan layout for type of computers and peripheral equipment, or modifications to existing equipment and systems that will provide capability for proposed project or work load, efficient operation, and effective use of allotted space

Key Qualifications
  • BS in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience with IT and telecommunications software and hardware
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience managing and monitoring production software deployments
  • Experience with a variety of operating systems including Windows Server 200x, Windows XP/7, and Linux (Certifications a plus)
  • Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Resident
