Frequentis Maritime develops and delivers fail-safe, user-friendly, custom-tailored solutions that empowers our customers to efficiently fulfill their responsibilities. Therefore, Frequentis implements mission critical solutions for Global Maritime Distress and Safety Systems, Maritime Rescue Coordination Centres, Coastal Surveillance Systems and systems to implement Vessel Traffic Services. Our solutions already cover more than 30% of the world’s ocean area.
Key Tasks
  • Verification of the software deliverables against the well understood system design
  • Deep interaction with the Software developers and the system architects to most effectively make features available for the product delivery team
  • Creation of test cases, test procedure book and development of integration tests either based on tools, scripts or executed manually
  • Support our test team to implement automated regression and black-box tests on various levels like system, subsystem and software component
  • Support the development project manager during the process of formal product releases with various mandatory tests
  • Responsibility for our CI/CD chain using Jenkins and automated vulnerability scans
  • Responsibility for operating the test systems used for software integration, integration testing, but also customer demos and verification

Key Qualifications
  • Completed technical education (HTL/TU/FH) 
  • Profound knowledge in IP based communication (TCP/IP, IPv6, http, tls, …)
  • Experience with web-based APIs and interfaces like http/REST, SOAP, json, MQTT and similar technology
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn about micro-service architecture pattern, (docker) containers to deeply understand system behavior
  • Interest in cloud native technology to join our path to mission critical system as a service using public cloud, IaaS with Kubernetes
  • Awareness and willingness to learn system design for safety relevant applications
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 35,980 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
