The tools used must be stable, reliable, and immediately available when needed. The control center products of our Public Safety division have been developed to meet this requirement. Our mission is to ensure that police, rescue services, and fire brigades can focus on the core of their task - saving lives. As a DevOps Engineer, you act as the bridge between System Engineers and Software Developers, helping to achieve this mission.
Key Tasks
  • Development of new features and components
  • Integration and use of modern tools and current technologies from the Java ecosystem
  • Evaluation of software solutions and execution of proof-of-concepts in the area of Cloud-Native technologies
  • Active participation as a full member of a dynamic Scrum team and close collaboration with team members and relevant stakeholders
  • Continuous optimization of solutions, tools, and processes, as well as creation of documentation
  • Work with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and containers/Kubernetes, and engage with distributed systems
Key Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in DevOps Engineering
  • Completed degree (University of Applied Sciences or University) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Native is essential; knowledge of OpenShift is a plus
  • Programming skills (Java, Go etc.), as well as experience with distributed systems, are desirable
  • Senior-level presence with strong persuasive skills, structured approach, and analytical thinking
  • Excellent command of English; German language skills are an advantage

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 50,439 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
