Job Introduction
Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. We are seeking for a Director accountable for the Air Traffic Management (ATM) Market Unit Network Solutions business. The main responsibilities are strategic planning and alignment of the business, financial management of the business, operational management of the market unit, team leadership and development, and customer and stakeholder management.
Key Tasks
  • Strategic Planning and Alignment: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the objectives of the market unit, including market analysis, competitive research, and setting short- and long-term goals. 
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Ensuring the business unit remains profitable and generates positive cash flow. 
  • Operational Management: Daily management of the market unit, including overseeing development, marketing, sales, and other operational processes. Improving efficiency and solving problems are also core duties. 
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of employees through motivation, coaching, and development. Responsible for hiring, onboarding, performance evaluation, and promoting employee development. 
  • Customer and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. The manager represents the market unit in negotiations and strategic partnerships. 
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.  
  • 10-15 years' experience in a leadership role, preferably in the specific domain of the market unit. 
  • Strong leadership qualities to effectively lead and motivate teams. 
  • Ability to develop and implement effective business strategies. 
  • Understanding of financial management principles to ensure the financial health of the business unit. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems swiftly. 
  • Excellent English language skills; additional language skills are a plus. 
  • Strong team player, having an intercultural mind set, paired with international travel willingness.

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 80.000 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
