Key Tasks
The Director Sales & Business Development - Public Safety is fully accountable for global sales and business development within the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Public Safety, reporting directly to the Vice President Public Safety. This leadership role drives the execution of an ambitious growth strategy, steering a high-performing international team of domain sales engineers, presales experts, and solution consultants. In close collaboration with Frequentis regional sales units worldwide, the Director ensures delivery of cutting-edge solutions for mission-critical control room environments. 

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the global Sales & Business Development strategy in alignment with the overall Public Safety strategy 
  • Marketing Strategy: Define and implement the Public Safety Marketing strategy in close collaboration with Corporate Marketing Team 
  • Leadership: Provide functional and line leadership to the global PS Sales, Presales, Solution Consulting, and Business Development teams 
  • Financial Accountability: Own the global PS order intake and profitability targets 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with regional organizations and product subsidiaries to align and execute the sales strategy 
  • Business Growth: Drive channel re-sales, strategic customer acquisition, and the expansion of existing key accounts Complex 
  • Sales Management: Lead and manage sophisticated sales cycles including public tenders, framework agreements, and multi-stakeholder negotiations 
  • Forecasting & Pipeline: Ensure accurate forecasting, transparent pipeline management, and achievement of revenue and software return targets 
  • Market Representation: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer workshops
Key Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in Sales and/or Business Development, ideally within Public Safety, Mission-Critical Communications sector, or Control Room Solutions 
  • Strong track record in defining and executing global sales strategies 
  • Experienced in leading international, cross-functional teams and providing regional support to drive on-site business success 
  • Proven expertise of complex enterprise sales processes, including public procurement 
  • Deep understanding of corporation KPIs and commercial reporting 
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills at executive level 
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a hands-on approach 
  • Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus 
  • Preference to work within a dynamic and collaborative work environment with significant travel responsibilities

Salary
Annual Gross Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 95,000 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
