The Air Traffic Management Tower team develops software for air traffic management, in particular video surveillance in the tower. We focus on customisation, integration capability, reliability and ease of use - Remote Tower enables complete remote monitoring of a tower from a control centre. In terms of reliability, we combine our leading network technology products to ensure optimal connectivity for demanding operations. Continuous monitoring informs controllers of potential disruptions in the event of a network fault. Want to find out more? To strengthen our delivery team, we are looking for an experienced engineer who can solve problems in a safety-critical environment with creativity, precision and passion. If you have shown us your potential as a technical team leader, you will lead a team of up to 5 IT experts. Do you want to work with us to make air traffic safer? Key Tasks
  • Within the scope of projects, you are THE technical contact person for our international customers (ongoing projects in various countries, e.g. in Poland, the Netherlands, New Zealand or the USA). 
  • You ensure the technical specification, setup, integration and acceptance of a system at the customer's site. 
  • You will configure and commission standard IT and network components in a security-critical environment.
  • You will be responsible for clarifying technical feasibility, helping to design the system architecture and optimising the system from a cost-benefit perspective. 
  • As a communication hub, you will coordinate internal and external suppliers, e.g. from the documentation, testing and software development departments. 
  • You will carry out acceptance tests with customers, the project team and other important stakeholders. 
  • There is the option of taking on the role of a leading expert in terms of technical management. You will then coordinate an engineering team in terms of resources, technical and social development plans within our career model and will also be involved in the search for new employee.
Key Qualifications
  • You have several years of relevant professional experience as a system engineer or system administrator and a technical background with a focus on IT, whether through training, studies or a career change. 
  • You have very good knowledge of Linux, extensive experience with networks (Layer2 + Layer3) and protocol knowledge (UDP, TCP, multicast). 
  • You have very good knowledge of current COTS HW in various areas (servers, clients, displays, firewalls,...).
  • You have already gained experience with data centre / cloud technologies and would like to deepen this further
  • Your very good knowledge of English enables you to find your way around international business trips. 
  • It would be perfect if airports, aeroplanes and air traffic management have always fascinated you. 
  • Ideally, you have already gained management experience in the course of projects or at a lateral level.

Annual Gross Salary from
EUR 48592
This salary is the minimum salary according to the collective agreement based on a 38.5 hour week. Your actual annual gross salary results from the overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional experience and qualifications and is part of our attractive overall package.
