Expert Research Funding (all genders)
- Strategic Alignment: Matching our technology roadmap with current funding topics and programs to identify and leverage optimal funding opportunities
- Advising business units: Aligning topics with potential funding opportunities
- Funding Acquisition: Identification and application for national (e.g., FFG Basic Programs) and European (e.g., Horizon Europe) funding programs for our R&D projects, while simultaneously expanding international funding expertise
- Preparation of funding content: Tailoring it to the funder's requirements
- Coordination of Funded Projects: Close collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Corporate Research, Product Development of Business Units (Air Traffic Management Civil & Defence, Public Safety, Public Transport, Maritime) and Controlling to ensure the successful implementation of funded projects
- Network Management: Establishing and maintaining relationships with funding institutions, universities, and research organizations at national and European levels
- Representation: Presenting our research visions and projects to funding authorities and partners to enhance the attractiveness of our initiatives
- Academic Background: A completed degree in a scientific or technical field, with an additional background in law or business administration
- Professional Experience: Evident experience (3 - 5 years), in applying for and managing funded projects, ideally at the intersection of industry and academic institutions
- Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex technical content clearly and persuasively with fluent German proficiency and good English language skills
- Networking Competence: Experience in building and maintaining networks with internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical Thinking: Quick comprehension and ability to identify technological trends and link them to appropriate funding opportunities
- Proactive Approach: Initiative, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate visions into concrete funding applications
