Job Introduction
Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, more than 500 customers in some 150 countries with more than 35,000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience. 

As Head of Communications, you will be responsible for internal and external corporate communications of the Frequentis Group: Based on your understanding of the specifics of our industry you will develop sustainable communications strategies and thus significantly shape our external image. In addition, you will help shape our communications guidelines and coordinate external agencies. In addition, you will take on the leadership of an existing team. In this role, you will report directly to the Director Corporate Communications & Marketing and will work closely with the executive board on projects.


Key Tasks
  • You develop the internal and external communication strategy of the Frequentis Group
  • You create high-quality communication and PR materials (e.g. press releases, website, social media, articles for customer magazines and trade publications, annual report, etc.) 
  • You maintain close relationships with relevant austrian and international media and journalists 
  • You create storyboards/talking points for interviews and coach the executive board for media appearances 
  • You support the executive board in internal messaging 
  • You act as a company spokesperson, develop crisis response plans, plan appropriate scenarios and have the ability to maneuver the company through any crisis in the best possible way through communications efforts 
  • You are the chief editor of our employee magazine 
  • You coordinate external agencies 
  • You lead an existing team and continuously develop it further
Key Qualifications
  • You have completed a degree or comparable education with a focus on communications/PR 
  • You have at least 7 years of experience in corporate communications, ideally in an international B2B environment 
  • You have first experiences in managing a team 
  • You have a personal network of contacts to relevant media 
  • Personally, you have a high customer and service orientation as well as strong consulting skills 
  • You understand how to present complex and partly technical topics in a comprehensible way 
  • You possess a high degree of initiative and are used to working independently in a matrix organization 
  • You have excellent language skills in German and English

Your individual salary is based on your professional experience and qualifications and is part of our attractive total package.
