Our NIS (Network & Infrastructure Services) experts specialize in the design, delivery, and support of IT infrastructure within the scope of Frequentis delivery and service projects. 
As Head of NIS, you will lead an international team of 15–20 experts in the areas of networking, servers, virtualization, cloud, IT security, and automation. You will drive the team strategy, optimize processes, and ensure the smooth operation and continuous development of the IT infrastructure.
Key Tasks
  • Leadership and Development of the Global NIS Team: Leading and continuously developing an international team to ensure optimal performance and ongoing improvement
  • Resource, Budget, and Strategic Planning: Responsible for efficient resource allocation, budget management, and the development and implementation of a strategic direction
  • Ensuring IT Operations and IT Projects: Ensuring smooth 24/7 IT operations and the successful completion of IT projects aligned with corporate objectives
  • Process and Efficiency Optimization: Analyzing and improving processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team and the organization
  • Interface with Internal and External Partners: Coordinating and communicating with internal departments and external service providers to ensure the smooth execution of all IT processes 
  • Risk Management & Compliance Assurance: Identifying and managing risks while ensuring adherence to compliance requirements and corporate policies.
Key Qualifications
  • Completed technical or business degree with professional experience in IT operations within complex environments 
  • At least 8 years of leadership experience in international IT teams
  • Extensive experience in managing large, critical IT environments (> 50 servers, multiple data centers) 
  • Broad IT expertise in the areas of networks, virtualization, Linux/Windows, software deployment (Ansible), cloud operations (Azure/AWS), monitoring (Zabbix), and IT security, as well as knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g. CIS ICS, NIST) 
  • A solid understanding of operational processes in the Frequentis business domains (Air Traffic Management or Public Safety) is desirable 
  • You have strong knowledge of ITIL and project management, are fluent in English (business level), possess excellent German skills, and are willing to travel up to 20%

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 70,000 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
