Technologies & Tools: Embedded Linux, Red Hat Linux, Linux Shell Skripts, Yocto, Python, TCL, C/C++, Network Protocols (TCP/IP, SIP, HTTP, …), Container, Virtualization, Jira, Jama, Jenkins, SVN, GIT, Artifactory, Blackduck, Coverity, Whireshark, Raspberry Pi
Key Tasks
  • You integrate Frequentis Embedded hardware and software as well as 3rd party components into our Frequentis Embedded Linux distribution. 
  • You are the link between project management and software development and help to ensure that developments are completed on time and within budget.
  • You support error analysis by taking a look at the source code, if necessary, to steer the developers in the right direction.
  • You use the test cases you develop to check the functionality and compatibility of these components and modules. 
  • You analyze system requirements and design documents to avoid potential integration problems or conflicts. To ensure that the integration test meets the real requirements, you set up and configure test environments. 
  • You document your solutions, findings and know-how in our tools such as Jira/Jama/Confluence.
  • To improve quality, maintainability and test coverage, you will be involved in reviews and preparing feedback. 
  • You are part of an embedded software team and also support colleagues from other teams with your know-how.
Key Qualifications
  • You have successfully completed your education with a focus on embedded systems or computer science and several years of professional experience in this field.
  • You have the technical skills, analytical thinking and teamwork skills to ensure that software components are correctly integrated and work together seamlessly.
  • You already have good IT infrastructure knowledge due to your previous work experience.
  • You are also interested in IT security, scripting languages, embedded hardware and software with a focus on Linux and are characterized by your affinity for hardware.
  • You work with people from all over the world on a daily basis, so you speak good English and German. 
  • You can understand, revise and create technical documentation in English and German.

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 38.514 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
