Job Introduction
Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. In the Public Transport business unit, we are facing a technological upheaval, particularly with our key customers such as the Swiss Federal Railways. 
Our mission: the smooth migration of existing communication solutions in control centres to modern technologies. In doing so, we are making a joint contribution to the mobility of the future and to improving the environmental balance in the transport sector - in line with the Green Deal. 

A central element of our solution is the communication workstations for dispatchers, which are used for direct contact with the trains. We are looking for you for precisely this area - a technology enthusiast with a passion for touch PCs, operating systems (Windows/Linux), audio quality and voice tools.
Key Tasks
  • Evaluate & build prototypes: Test and evaluate new touch PCs and speech tools and create a basis for decision-making. 
  • Integrate & support: Combining components into a complete solution and supporting it throughout the entire product life cycle. 
  • Analyse & improve: Identify and document system problems and develop sustainable solutions. 
  • Configuration under control: Manage and document software components and configurations. 
  • Ensure audio quality: Perform audio tests, define and continuously optimise settings. 
  • Security & operating systems: Configure and maintain Windows IoT and Red Hat Linux according to security requirements. 
  • Working close to the customer: Support with workplace issues in customer projects and set up demo systems for sales, documentation and training.
Key Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Software engineering 
  • Basic knowledge of requirements engineering and software design 
  • Interest in audio technologies and their application 
  • Know-how in operating systems (Windows IoT, Red Hat Linux), PC hardware, telecommunications and IT infrastructure 
  • Ideally experience with control centre workstations 
  • Self-organised, curious and enjoy evaluating new technologies 
  • Very good German and English skills

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 42,592 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
