Job Introduction
Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, more than 500 customers in some 150 countries with more than 40,000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience.

In the Public Transport business unit, we are facing a technological upheaval, particularly with our key customers such as the Swiss Federal Railways. Our Public Transport business unit enables and supports a smooth migration of our existing solutions to new technologies. In this way, we and you are making a contribution to the mobility of the future and to improving the environmental balance of the transport sector (‘Green Deal’).
Key Tasks
  • Evaluation & prototyping: Testing new COTS products and creating a basis for decision-making. 
  • Integration & Maintenance: Integrate and maintain COTS products, HW-related functions, OS images, language tools and AudioHub-D SW/HW. 
  • Problem analysis: Analyse, categorise and document system integration problems and derive measures. 
  • Configuration management: Record integrated SW components and configurations and create reports. 
  • Audio tests & settings: Support audio tests and define and maintain audio settings. 
  • Operating systems & security: Maintain operating systems in accordance with security requirements. 
  • Customer projects & demo systems: Support customer projects with workplace problems and set up demo systems for sales, documentation and training
Key Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SW engineering 
  • Technical knowledge of the requirements of workstations in control centres is an advantage 
  • Basic knowledge of requirement engineering and software design 
  • Domain know-how in the areas of OS operating systems (Windows IoT, Red Hat Linux), telecommunications, IT infrastructure and IT services 
  • Self-organisation; creativity and curiosity to evaluate and learn new products as well as a precise and structured approach 
  • Very good knowledge of English and German

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 42,592 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
