Job Introduction

The Air Traffic Management Tower Solutions Team focuses on individuality, integration capability, reliability and user-friendliness - like our latest product Remote Tower: this enables full remote monitoring of a tower from a central office. After an introduction phase and supervision by an experienced tutor, you will take over responsibility for technical work packages. Do you want to make air traffic safer together with us? Do you enjoy travelling to meet international customers? Then our team is the right place for you.

Key Tasks

You ensure the technical specification, setup, integration and acceptance of a system at the customer site.
Within projects you will be one of the technical contact person for our customers (ongoing projects in different countries e.g. Poland, Netherlands, New Zealand or USA).
You will configure and commission commercially available IT and network components in a security-critical environment.
The clarification of the technical feasibility, co-design of the system architecture and optimization of the system under cost-benefit aspects are within your scope of activities.
As a communicative hub, you coordinate internal and external suppliers, e.g. from the areas of documentation, test department and software development.
You will conduct acceptance tests with the customers, the project team and other important stakeholders.

Key Qualifications

First relevant professional experience as a system engineer or system administrator
Technical background with focus on IT, no matter if apprenticeship, study or career change
Good Linux knowledge and practical experience
Willingness to travel approx. 25% majority internationally
Eagerness to work in the field of air traffic management
Very good English skills mandatory, any other language is a plus
Linux certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator etc. are an advantage
Enjoy working with customers
First experience with networks (Layer2 + Layer3) and ideally protocol knowledge (UDP, TCP, Multicast)
