Job Introduction

In the Public Transport business unit, we are looking for a Lead System Architect for the existing solutions-team responsible for solution design, system design and standardization in the field of rail communication. 

During our internal onboarding programme, you will undergo technical and product-based training. You will also have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the areas of responsibility in various departments. You can acquire valuable expertise in the areas of pre-sales, system engineering or offer management in order to perfectly match the system designs you create to the requirements of our customers.
Key Tasks
  • You will lead a team of 3 to 5 System Architects
  • You contribute to system architecture and system design documents, considering functional and non-functional requirements, especially for cloud environments. 
  • You review and ensure the technical feasibility of system designs. 
  • You participate in exploration teams of Agile Release Trains. 
  • You create cost estimates for system designs in close coordination with architects
  • You participate in standardization activities as well as in the selection of software technologies.

Key Qualifications
  • 5 years of professional experience as a system architect, in the development of complex solutions or as a system engineer or software engineer
  • Technical education (HTL, FH, university) in the field of computer science, software engineering, network technology
  • Familiarity with current architectures and technologies and knowledge of Linux is desirable
  • Experience in the area of IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and Mission Critical Communications (MCX) and Kubernetes (K8) is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of English and German
  • Willingness to travel up to 20 % per year, room for manoeuvre given
  • Collegial, motivated personality with an interest in railway systems

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 51.000 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
