Job Introduction

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles are on the rise and their use will increase rapidly in the coming years. Frequentis recognized the challenges of Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) early on and is responding with innovative solutions. These allow airports and air navigation service providers, but also customers in other sectors such as public safety or infrastructure operators, to use drones professionally, efficiently, and safely to perform their tasks. These solutions are available both on site and in the cloud. We have already successfully implemented customer projects both in Austria and internationally.
Key Tasks
As Product & Development Lead, you will take on a steering function with direct responsibility for employees in Vienna (approx. 2-3), as well as technical management of our employees (approx. 25) at several locations (Romania and Slovakia) by being responsible for the organizational development. 

  • Budget planning and responsibility for resources, staffing, refinancing incl. forecast planning
  • Development and maintenance of a product database & roadmap (requirements engineering)
  • Development of a product-graded release management framework
  • Roadmap for raising the product maturity level (security, architecture, configuration, clients, standards, quality, scalability, deployment)
  • Management of the development organization (incl. process model)
  • Interface to the processing and service projects and coordination with stakeholders

Key Qualifications
  • You are motivated and hands-on - a leader who likes to take on responsibility and enjoys organizational development and building/designing processes and structures.
  • You have more than 4 years of relevant professional experience in product and/or project management, as well as at least 3 years of leadership experience (disciplinary and/or technical).
  • You have SW integration project experience, ideally with an understanding of and experience with cloud and service business models.
  • You have a high level of self-organization and a proactive way of working.
  • You show communication skills in dealing with different stakeholders and intercultural competence.
  • You think commercially and have strengths in resource management.
  • And you have an affinity for the drone and/or aviation sector.

Annual Gross Salary from
EUR 62670
This salary is the minimum salary according to the collective agreement based on a 38.5 hour week. Your actual annual gross salary results from the overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional experience and qualifications and is part of our attractive overall package.
