Job Introduction

As the SESAR Programme Manager, you act as the central hub and strategic lead for all Frequentis Group contributions to the SESAR programme, ensuring seamless alignment between internal delivery and external expectations. You serve as the central interface between internal teams, industry partners, and the SESAR Joint Undertaking (SJU).
Key Tasks
  • Programme Leadership & Alignment: Oversee the planning and coordination of all organisational contributions, ensuring full alignment with the company’s portfolio and product strategies.
  • Strategic Governance: Represent Frequentis within SESAR governance bodies and maintain influential relationships with the SJU, ANSPs, and industry partners.
  • Project Enablement & QA: Act as the primary catalyst for project success by providing expert guidance on PM tools, risk management, and quality assurance across all SESAR initiatives.
  • Financial & Contractual Stewardship: Drive efficient delivery by managing financial frameworks, contractual requirements, and resource allocation at the programme level.
  • Reporting & Visibility: Provide consolidated reporting to the SJU and internal management while spearheading communication and dissemination activities.
  • Internal Collaboration: Support and empower internal teams to ensure the high-quality, timely delivery of all SESAR-related commitments.
Key Qualifications
  • Extensive Programme & Project Management Experience: Proven track record in steering complex multi-project environments, ideally within R&D or EU-funded framework programmes (e.g., Horizon Europe).
  • Aviation Industry Expertise (ATM/CNS): In-depth understanding of the Air Traffic Management sector and familiarity with the SESAR ecosystem and its operational structures.
  • Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills: Significant experience in committee work, and the ability to confidently represent the company at an international level toward ANSPs, industry partners, and the SJU.
  • Analytical Financial & Contractual Proficiency: Solid experience in budget planning, controlling tools, and navigating the administrative and legal guidelines of EU funding contracts.
  • Academic Background & Languages: University degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, or Business Administration, paired with professional fluency in English for international stakeholder management.
  • Willingness to Travel: Ready to travel internationally (approx. 5%) to attend governance meetings, workshops, and industry events across Europe.

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 57,850 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
