Job Introduction

As a Security Engineer (all genders), you will be responsible for the technical security requirements of projects in our Defence area. You will act as the interface to our Technical Solution and Engineering team and actively shape our systems based on security by design.
Key Tasks
  • You design security solutions for our systems and actively participate in their implementation. 
  • You independently create concepts on topics such as IAM, hardening, logging, and more. 
  • You conduct tool-based vulnerability analyses and evaluate the results in the context of existing attack vectors. Where possible, you close the vulnerabilities. 
  • You act as the communication interface to the central security units of FREQUENTIS and make an active contribution to the development of best practices to harmonize the efficient implementation of security solutions company-wide.
Key Qualifications
  • You have a completed degree in IT or IT security.
  • You have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience or you are currently in an engineering position and would like to develop further in the direction of IT security? 
  • You have acquired solid knowledge and a high level of interest in the field of IT security during your studies or in your current professional position. 
  • You also see yourself as a technical generalist with expertise in L2/L3 networks, VPN, security products, operating systems, virtual machines, etc. 
  • As we primarily work for a German-speaking customer, you have an excellent knowledge of German. 
  • You are willing to spend about 10% of your working time per year travelling.

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 42,602 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
