Job Introduction
As a Service Engineer, you will coordinate the technical specification, integration, and acceptance of technical voice communication solutions for air traffic control. You are the main point of contact for all technical matters for your long standing installed base customers. Additionally you are responsible for coordinating with the respective development teams, which are distributed internationally.

As a Service Engineer, you coordinate the technical specification, integration, and acceptance of network solutions for air traffic management. You act as the primary point of contact for all technical matters related to your long-standing customers and ensure the successful delivery of tailored solutions.In addition, you are responsible for coordinating activities with internationally distributed development teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Tasks
  • You serve as the primary contact for customers on a 3rd-level/vendor support level, analyzing and resolving system issues.
  • You plan and execute system updates and enhancements for complex IT systems.
  • Through your close collaboration with customers, you understand their operational requirements and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products.
  • You participate in international projects in cooperation with subsidiaries and partner companies.
  • You review technical solutions against security requirements, assess necessary measures, and implement them.
  • Within project teams, you coordinate engineering activities, monitor their implementation, and evaluate their impact on customer outcomes.
Key Qualifications
  • You have completed education with a focus on Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field, and bring at least 10 years of professional experience in Service Engineering or System Engineering.
  • You combine strong technical skills with analytical thinking and a collaborative mindset, and you remain calm and solution-oriented even in critical situations.
  • You are able to analyze complex issues and communicate them clearly and effectively to different audiences.
  • You have a strong interest in customized solutions, virtualization, and network technologies, and you stay up to date with the latest developments in these areas.
  • Technologies that are part of your profile include Linux Red Hat, hypervisor platforms (VMware, Linux KVM), scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), network protocols (TCP/IP, SIP, HTTP), as well as tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, and Session Border Controllers (SBCs).
  • You enjoy working directly with customers and are willing to travel internationally (approximately 25%). Therefore, you have excellent English communication skills.

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 47,800 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
