Job Introduction
Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, more than 500 customers in some 150 countries with more than 45,000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience.
Key Tasks
  • You are part of an engineering team and are responsible for the technical specification, setup, integration and acceptance of a system at the customer's site
  • In the context of projects, you are THE technical contact person for our customers (ongoing projects in different continents, e.g. North and South America)
  • You will configure and set up standard IT and network components as well as Frequentis products in a safety-critical environment. 
  • You will be responsible for clarifying technical feasibility, helping to design the system architecture and optimising the system from a cost-benefit perspective. 
  • As a communication hub, you will coordinate internal and external suppliers, e.g. from the documentation, testing and software development departments. 
  • You will conduct acceptance tests with customers, the project team and other important stakeholders both at the headquarters in Vienna and on site at the customer's site
Key Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge in networks technologies including at least: switching L2/L3, routing, MPLS, QoS, satellite technologies
  • Skilled in IT architectures, deployment tools, software defined functions and scripting 
  • Experience in installing and configuring network infrastructure and computer hardware for corporate and industrial environments
  • Technical installation and configuration skills, especially in Linux environments
  • Enough know-how on testing activities for definition, execution, root-cause analysis and reporting 
  • Good communications skills, customer orientation, self-driven and proactive 
  • Fluent English in speaking and writing. Other languages (e.g. Portuguese) are a plus 
  • 30%-40% Availability to travel at the European and international level (Brasil)

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 51,520 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
