Job Introduction

As Software Asset Manager (all genders) within Group IT, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our internal software assets. You act in an entrepreneurial manner and are responsible for correct licensing, identifying optimisation potential and checking new software requirements. You will also take on the governance of the release of software for our employees and define the corresponding processes for software allocation in 2nd level support.
Key Tasks
  • Management and optimisation of all internal software assets in the company, including the monitoring of licence inventories and software contracts. 
  • Ensuring correct licensing in accordance with legal requirements and company guidelines. 
  • Identification of optimisation potential and targeted improvement of the software landscape and licensing strategy. 
  • Evaluating new software requirements in terms of economic and operational relevance. 
  • Taking over the governance for software releases and defining the corresponding processes for software allocation by 2nd level support. 
  • Use and maintain a software asset management tool to monitor all licences, create budgets and manage renewals of software contracts. 
  • Working in the IT Subsidiary Care team with a colleague to support global subsidiaries on strategic IT issues - from planning and budgeting to process optimisation. 
  • Close collaboration and communication with decision makers within the Frequentis Group as well as the subsidiaries to ensure that the IT infrastructure meets global requirements.
Key Qualifications
  • Completed studies or comparable training in IT, business informatics or a related field. 
  • Several years of experience in software asset management, licence management, software contract management or software procurement
  • Sound understanding of IT processes, licence models and budget planning. 
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to balance individual software needs against overall business objectives. 
  • Experience in using software asset management tools and common Microsoft and cloud solutions. 
  • Strong communication skills that you use both in a team and in collaboration with global stakeholders. 
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to make decisions in line with the company's interests. 
  • Experience in process design and optimisation, especially in the area of software release and mapping.
  • Very good German and English language skills

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 47,823 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
