Job Introduction
Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. The ATM Tower Automation team develops software for air traffic management, especially video surveillance in the tower (for a closer look see also the following video). To strengthen our Scrum team, we are looking for a person who solves complex problems in a safety-critical environment with creativity, accuracy and passion.
Key Tasks
  • You develop innovative information systems for the rapid and safe handling of air traffic 
  • You participate in the entire development process (analysis, architecture, design, implementation, maintenance, documentation and verification) 
  • You realize sophisticated product and customer features, especially in video and image processing 

The Team

  • We work in an agile development environment (Scrum) 
  • Test-Driven-Development, Pair Programming and Continuous Integration are part of our daily team routine 
  • In collaboration with our customers, we design and develop leading edge features for the future of air traffic control 
  • Our high awareness of the safety-critical application area of our software constantly and continuously guides us in our work towards clean solutions, high quality and clean code 
  • We strive for continuous improvement (Kaizen)

Key Qualifications
  • Completed technical education (FH, University, HTL)
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in JAVA and/or C++ software development
  • Broad knowledge of current technologies and frameworks, Object Oriented Design and high willingness to learn new technologies
  • Practical experience with Linux is a prerequisite, experience with container technologies (e.g. Docker) an advantage
  • Experience in processing real-time video data streams, object recognition and machine learning an advantage
  • Enjoy working in an agile environment (Scrum/XP), test-driven development and continuous integration
  • Experience with Jira, Jenkins as well as requirements management systems helpful
  • High quality awareness for safety-critical software
  • Strong team player
  • Precise work in a rapidly evolving environment

Annual Gross Salary from
EUR 33143
This salary is the minimum salary according to the collective agreement based on a 38.5 hour week. Your actual annual gross salary results from the overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional experience and qualifications and is part of our attractive overall package.
