Job Introduction
Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, more than 500 customers in some 150 countries with more than 45,000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience. 

Our purchasing team is the central interface to our suppliers and the first point of contact for all procurement-related matters. The IT procurement team is responsible for all IT-related purchases for internal IT as well as for customer projects.
Key Tasks
  • Strategic procurement of IT hardware, software, and related services for the internal operations of the Frequentis Group within the assigned product groups (e.g., server infrastructure, laptops, software licenses, and services) 
  • Execution and management of procurement processes such as market analyses, RFIs and tenders from requirements definition through to contract signing 
  • Conducting price and contract negotiations and taking responsibility for contract management 
  • Strategic supplier management, including evaluation, qualification, and identification of alternative suppliers 
  • Ensuring compliance with governance and risk requirements (e.g., IT security, data protection)
Key Qualifications
  • Completed technical, commercial, and/or legal education (with a focus on business law and IT) 
  • Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in an IT environment 
  • Strong negotiation skills, a pronounced commercial mindset, and strong problem-solving abilities 
  • Very good knowledge of IT hardware and software markets 
  • Ability to structure complex project requirements and implement them efficiently in close coordination with IT and specialist departments 
  • Strong analytical and structured working style, along with excellent communication and assertiveness skills

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 46,202 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
