Job Introduction
Frequentis AG with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, 500 customers with 45.000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience. 
The NIS (Network and Infrastructure Services) department designs, builds and services IT solutions for use in worldwide customer projects. 

To strengthen our team we are looking for YOU, who came across following experiences throughout his System Architect career in the past: 

  • Enterprise Architecture practices and tools like TOGAF/ Mega Hopex / UML/SysML /ArchiMate
  • Experienced in DevOps practices and tools: Terraform, Ansible / CI/CD, Artifactory / Linux (RHEL), Kubernetes, OpenShift / Python 
  • Thrives on getting hands-on with automated: deployment / configuration / integration testing / change control 
  • Experience with industry standards: CIS, NIST, STIG, ITIL and ISO27K
Key Tasks
  • Primary interface between NIS and architect roles at Frequentis Group for IT standards, technology management, and system security in customer-targeted safety and security critical infrastructure
  • Responsible for standardizing and aligning enterprise IT (software & hardware) in customer systems, ensuring compliance with security controls like CIS and STIG
  • Accountable for designing, approving, and accepting NIS-owned projects and work packages, both on-premises and in the public cloud
  • Provide technical support and development to department Subject Matter Experts and their project tasks
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or possess equivalent work experience)
  • Accumulate a proven track record of 5+ years in a System Architect or similar role and exhibit proficiency in technical leadership and supervision
  • Expertise in designing and constructing complex enterprise IT environments, spanning both on-premises and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Display outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills and embrace a proactive attitude towards quickly acquiring proficiency in new technologies
  • Possess a solid understanding of business aspects, facilitating effective collaboration with business experts

Annual Gross Salary from
EUR 50000
This salary is the minimum salary according to the collective agreement based on a 38.5 hour week. Your actual annual gross salary results from the overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional experience and qualifications and is part of our attractive overall package.
