Junior System Engineer – Maritime (all genders)

- You implement our maritime solutions in the control centres of our international customers, starting with the technical specification and ending with final acceptance at the customer's site.
- You will advise your customers on technical issues and clarify the feasibility of their requirements together with the internal technical team.
- You will be involved in designing the system architecture and optimising the system from a cost-benefit perspective.
- If adjustments are required, you will be the interface to our internal experts (e.g. software and product development or the internal support departments).
- You will conduct acceptance tests with customers, the project team and other key stakeholders both at our headquarters in Vienna and on site at the customer's location.
- You will analyse bugs, create bug descriptions, support the product development team in fixing bugs and provide feedback on new product versions.
- You will provide 2nd and 3rd level support for the customer and - if you wish - you can also become part of the 24/7 on-call service after extensive training.
- You have completed a technical education and already have some experience in systems engineering, network technology or system administration.
- You have good network and IT infrastructure knowledge and are familiar with a number of the following technologies and tools: Windows Server, Linux Server (Redhat, Ubuntu), Active Directory, virtualisation (VMWare), Ansible, Cisco network components, Docker, Wireshark, Powershell, bash scripting, GIT, SIP/RTP, HTTP, databases (SQL, postgreSQL)
- You have a structured, efficient and precise way of working and are motivated to solve tricky problems.
- Solution-orientated thinking and acting as well as working independently are a given for you.
- Your willingness to travel internationally with a focus on Europe is 15%, your good command of English will help you to get along well when travelling.
- You are willing to learn new technical topics according to the motto "You never stop learning".
